Carnivore Meat Company Welcomes Michael Wood as Chief Operating Officer

Carnivore Meat Company, renowned for its premium raw, frozen, and freeze-dried pet food under the Vital Essentials brand, has announced the appointment of Michael Wood as Chief Operating Officer.

With over 30 years of experience in the pet industry, Wood will lead operations and supply chain functions for the Green Bay-based company.

Wood’s previous roles at industry leaders such as Ethos Pet Brands, Merrick Pet Care, and Sow Good Inc. have equipped him with the expertise to drive Carnivore’s growth. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain at Natural Balance Pet Foods.

Heather Govea, CEO of Carnivore Meat Company, expressed enthusiasm about Wood joining the team, stating, “His extensive experience will be key in scaling our rapidly expanding business and enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional products to our customers.”
