Benefits and Highlights

Here's what to expect from this grill in terms of build, performance, and overall value.
1. Design and Build Quality
The porcelain-coated cast iron grates on Char-Broil Performance 650 offer excellent heat retention and distribution, ensuring even cooking without hot or cold spots across the expansive 650 square-inch cooking surface.
Furthermore, this liquid propane gas-powered grill features sear and side burners that allow for versatile cooking options, further enhancing its appeal.
The side shelves provide ample storage space for utensils and ingredients, ensuring a seamless grilling experience.
Finally, the thoughtful cabinet design discreetly houses the propane tank, maintaining the propane grill top's aesthetic appeal while keeping your propane grill area organized and clutter-free.
2. Performance

When it comes to performance, this six-burner grill delivers consistent and even heat across its generous cooking surface, minimizing hot or cold spots.
Additionally, it is an extremely durable grill. I was impressed to see that the sear burner provided intense heat on every square inch of the surface without any issues. This makes this grill perfect for searing different kinds of meat and vegetables at the same time.
Furthermore, the side burner offers extra space for preparing side dishes or sauces.
The Char-Broil Performance 650 excels at cooking various dishes but be prepared for a slight learning curve to master the grilling space, multiple burners, and heating zones.
3. Ease of Use
The Char-Broil Performance 650 offers easy-to-use controls and a cooking area that can handle anything you throw at it.
Additionally, the porcelain enameled grates and the stainless steel lid are easy to clean.
All I had to do was lightly scrub the stainless steel grill and lid after I prepared food, and that was it.
What I dislike is how the knobs feel less premium compared to other grills in the market, such as Spirit II E-310.
I was also very disappointed to see the bolt and screw securing the lid to the rest of the grill becoming loose over time.
Another thing that some people may find an issue with is the size.
The Char-Broil Performance 650 6-Burner Grill is fairly large and might not be suitable for those with limited outdoor space.
Some users may also find that the grill requires a bit of a learning curve to get the hang of all of its features and controls.
4. Price and Value

The price of the six-burner Char-Broil Performance 650 can vary depending on the retailer, with prices typically falling in the lower category compared to other gas grills.
Considering its features and performance, the Char-Broil Performance 650 offers great value for money.
With a spacious 650 square inches of cooking space, sear, and side burners for grilling everything, from chicken to corn, and powered by liquid propane gas, this Char-Broil grill has most of what you may need.
While the initial investment may be higher than some more basic propane grills, like the Weber® Q 2200, the durable build and exceptional cooking experience provided by the Char-Broil Performance 650 make it a worthwhile purchase.
5. Mobility
One notable feature that sets it apart is its freestanding design. This design not only provides stability but also offers the convenience of mobility.
With four heavy-duty casters, you can effortlessly move the grill around your outdoor space, making it a breeze to position it exactly where you need it.
"Performance means everything. Whether you only grill occasionally or light up those burners every other day, you want your grill to cook the way you expect it to."

Customer Feedback
Here's what other people had to say about this grill.
"After three years of ownership, I've found this grill to be excellent for cooking large quantities of food for big parties. However, I've had to replace the rusted burners and brackets, which are only covered by a one-year warranty. Remember to cover the grill after each use."
- Steven from Michigan
"Within 10 months of use, the grill stopped heating up. I replaced the tank, hoping it would fix the issue, but it didn't. Contacting customer support, they suspect the hose valve regulator connecting the burners to the knobs is the problem. Additionally, I'm dissatisfied with how the burners distribute the flames for grilling."
- The Sicilian from New Jersey
"Great value for the price. Beware of possible shipping dents. Instructions could be improved, but patience pays off. It's a bit heavy, so having a friend or using a hand truck/dolly is recommended for transportation and assembly."
- Mike from the United States
