Con Yeager Spice Company Recalls Trail Bologna Meat Kits Due to Undeclared Allergens
The Con Yeager Spice Company of Zelienople, PA, has issued a nationwide recall of its Trail Bologna Meat Processing Kits due to undeclared soy and wheat allergens.
These kits, commonly distributed through retail stores, wholesale distribution, and online sales, pose a risk for individuals with soy and wheat allergies, potentially causing severe or life-threatening reactions if consumed.
The recall specifically affects the 17.88-ounce pouches marked with UPC code 797442404137, lot number B241851006, and a “Best by Date” of 2-08-27, visible on the front center of each pouch.
The error surfaced when a customer found that Hickory Jerky Kit contents had mistakenly been packaged inside the Trail Bologna Meat Processing Kit pouches.
In response, the Con Yeager Spice Company has halted production of the affected product while investigating the cause. No illnesses have been reported in relation to this issue thus far.
The company encourages customers who purchased the recalled kits to contact Con Yeager Spice for a return or replacement.
For any inquiries, customers can reach Con Yeager’s Customer Service or Sales team at 724-202-6513, available Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:15 PM EDT. Distributors with Hickory Jerky kits are also urged to check for potential mispackaged Trail Bologna kits and contact Con Yeager if affected.
