Forever Cheese Acquires Virginia Packing to Expand Capabilities
Forever Cheese, a renowned importer of cheese, cured meats, and specialty foods, announced the acquisition of Virginia Packing LLC, based in Toano, Va., on October 21.
This strategic move strengthens Forever Cheese’s presence in the premium cured meat market by incorporating Virginia Packing’s expertise in slicing, packing, and logistics for both domestic and international brands.
Tyler Hawes, CEO of Forever Cheese, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “Virginia Packing’s service offerings and experienced team are an incredible addition to the Forever Cheese platform, allowing us to offer new, in-demand capabilities for our supplier and customer partners.”
The acquisition aligns with Forever Cheese’s commitment to quality and its long-term relationships with suppliers and customers.
This deal marks Forever Cheese’s second major acquisition in recent years. In 2023, the company acquired WA Imports, a leading importer of Japanese and Pacific Rim specialty ingredients.
With the addition of Virginia Packing, Forever Cheese now oversees three key facilities in Secaucus, NJ, Hebron, Ill., and Toano, Va.
Tim Harris, co-founder of Virginia Packing, echoed the positive outlook for the future: “We’ve worked with Forever Cheese Co-Founder Michele Buster for more than 25 years, and we could not ask for a more strategic partner. Our teams and our service offerings align so well, and we are excited about our future together.”
The acquisition allows Forever Cheese to meet the growing demand for retail-ready and solution-oriented products, further solidifying its role as a leader in the specialty foods industry.
