Nearly $5K Worth of Meat and Seafood Stolen from Montclair Supermarket

Montclair, NJ – King’s Supermarket on Valley Road reported nearly $5,000 worth of meat and seafood stolen during a series of shoplifting incidents, according to police. The thefts, which took place over the course of a week, have led to the identification of two suspects.

The Montclair Police Department reported that the first theft occurred on October 16, with around $2,198 worth of produce, meat, and seafood stolen.

Shortly after, another $1,279 worth of meat and seafood was taken in a second incident. The third theft saw $1,426 worth of similar items stolen, bringing the total stolen goods to nearly $5,000.

The suspects, described as being between 25 and 35 years old, were identified following the incidents. Police are continuing their investigation into the thefts.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Montclair police, and local residents are urged to remain vigilant while shopping in the area.
