Beyond Meat Burger Launches at 13 SSP Airport and Train Station Bars in the UK

UK-based plant-based meat company Beyond Meat has partnered with SSP Group to introduce its Beyond Burger at 13 airports and train station bars across the UK this week.

Known for its meaty texture and plant-based ingredients, Beyond Burger aims to provide a sustainable alternative for travelers, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences.

The burger, designed to replicate the taste and texture of animal meat, is being featured prominently on SSP’s menu. It is served with lettuce, tomato, onions, house burger sauce, and a side of chips.

Made entirely from plant-based ingredients, the burger is Kosher, Halal, and vegan certified, offering 16g of protein per 100g.

Beyond Meat UK Regional Sales Manager Steve Parsons commented, “Bringing our Beyond Burger to the UK foodservice travel sector with SSP is an important step to help even more of the UK reduce their animal meat consumption.

We want to give people everywhere access to delicious and nutritious plant-based meat options.”

SSP UK & Ireland Head of Sustainability Meredith Ford emphasized their commitment to increasing plant-based meal options. “We strive to offer as much choice as we can for customers across all of our outlets,” she said.

The Beyond Burger is now available at several travel locations, including Brigg & Stow at Bristol Airport and Camden Bar at London Stansted, with six additional SSP bars set to offer it by December.
