Demand for Ethically Sourced Meat Rises as Consumers Embrace Sustainable and Humane Choices

A report from the World Economic Forum in 2021 attributed 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions to the livestock industry, positioning it as a notable contributor to climate change.

As a result, ethical farming practices, including rotational grazing and minimal chemical usage, are becoming valuable differentiators for farms committed to sustainability.

In parallel, interest in plant-based and lab-grown meat is gaining momentum, contributing to a broader discussion on sustainable food production.

The Good Food Institute reported that the U.S. plant-based sector grew by 27% in 2020, with a striking 45% increase in plant-based meat sales, indicating a strong consumer inclination toward alternatives to conventional meat.

According to the Humane Society International, 72% of consumers are more likely to choose products certified as humane, reinforcing a growing commitment to supporting ethically raised livestock.

Ethical meat providers are responding by adopting transparent practices, offering consumers detailed insights into their farming methods. This transparency fosters trust, helping consumers make informed, responsible choices in their dietary habits.
