Meat Theft on Roosevelt Blvd: Driver Wakes to Find Looters in Action

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a truck driver’s nap was interrupted by a shocking discovery—his truck, parked along the 9700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia, was being looted.

At around 3:15 a.m., the driver was jolted awake by the shaking of his vehicle, only to spot two thieves unloading boxes of meat from his truck and loading them into nearby Nissan vehicles.

Before police could arrive, the thieves made a swift getaway, escaping with 40 boxes of meat. However, officers were able to recover eight boxes on the same block.

The suspects are described as two men driving Nissan vehicles, but no arrests have been made yet.

Authorities are continuing to investigate, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Northeast Detectives at 215-686-3153.
