Beef & Brine Steakhouse Tavern Brings Local Flavor to Concord
A new steakhouse has opened its doors in Concord, offering a fresh, locally owned dining option on the Gibson Mill campus.
Beef & Brine Steakhouse Tavern, created by Ryan Bybee of Scratch Made Hospitality Group, aims to deliver a welcoming atmosphere for both casual dinners and special celebrations.
A Local Vision for Dining
Bybee, also behind Village Corner in Concord, Barcos in Oriental, and Christine’s Wood Fire in Albemarle, described his vision for the steakhouse.
“The goal with it was just to create a casual, comfortable, and non-pretentious kind of place — just family-driven,” he said.
With fair pricing, the restaurant is designed to be a go-to spot for any occasion, whether it’s a Tuesday night meal or a celebration of life’s milestones.
A Menu Beyond Steaks
The steakhouse boasts a menu of hand-cut sirloins, NY strips, ribeyes, and Porterhouse steaks, each paired with two sides.
For those seeking alternatives, the menu features options like an 8-ounce mesquite pork chop ($26), pan-seared wild-caught Atlantic salmon ($24), and house-made crab cakes ($26). A kids’ menu is available, and Sunday lunch offers even more variety.
The restaurant also features a full bar with options ranging from old-fashioned to dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. Happy Hour, running Tuesday through Saturday includes half-priced appetizers and trays like burgers, chicken sandwiches, and crab cakes.
Weekday specials, such as half-price wine bottles on Tuesdays and $3.50 beer bottles on Fridays, add to the appeal.
Filling a Local Gap
“We’re excited to find something that was sort of missing in Concord,” Bybee shared. Located at 305 McGill Ave. on the Gibson Mill campus, Beef & Brine Steakhouse Tavern promises to serve as both a local favorite and a destination dining experience.
