Phillips Meat Processing Spreads Holiday Cheer with Generous Donation

ZANESVILLE, OH – Phillips Meat Processing is stepping up this Thanksgiving season by donating 100 hams to local nonprofits in Zanesville. Owner Dale Phillips expressed his gratitude for the community’s ongoing support and shared his motivation to give back to those in need.

“We feel like we should give back to the community, they have been so good to us,” said Phillips. “We just want to help them. We have the opportunity to do that, so that’s what we’re doing.”

The donation, made possible through a state grant, benefited four nonprofits: Christ’s Table, Eastside Community Ministry, Homeless Hands, and the Salvation Army. These organizations play a vital role in addressing food insecurity in the region, especially during the holiday season.

Encouraging Community Support

Phillips hopes his gesture will inspire other businesses to join in helping the community during the holidays.

“Because we got the grant from the State, this makes this stuff all the more possible,” he explained. “I do challenge other companies, maybe they can help out too. You know, let’s put that challenge out there.”

Phillips Meat Processing is no stranger to giving back. The company also participates in the Farmers and Hunters Feed the Hungry program, a long-standing initiative aimed at providing food to those in need.

A Legacy of Giving

Phillips emphasized that supporting the community is a core value for his company. “This donation means a lot to us, knowing we are helping those who are facing food insecurity,” he shared.

With the holiday season upon us, Phillips Meat Processing is leading by example, showing that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. As they continue their efforts, Phillips hopes to spark a ripple effect of generosity among other businesses in Zanesville.

The company’s commitment to giving back ensures that its impact will be felt far beyond Thanksgiving, strengthening the community it proudly serves.
