A Journey of Growth and Commitment
Meyer began her journey at the West Central Research, Extension, and Education Center as a communications associate.
Her passion for the region and its ranching heritage led her to this role, which allowed her to combine her academic background with her desire to return to the Sandhills where she grew up.
After four years, Meyer transitioned to a research technologist position, where she worked directly with cattle. This role also enabled her to pursue and complete a master’s degree in animal science from UNL.
Her ability to learn and adapt in these roles demonstrates her dedication to professional growth and her deep-seated interest in the beef industry.
A Unique Blend of Skills
Throughout her career, Meyer has utilized her animal science and agricultural journalism degrees from Kansas State University in various capacities. Early on, she combined her communication skills with technical expertise to effectively support the agricultural community.
In her current role as a beef educator, Meyer continues to draw upon this unique blend of knowledge to engage ranchers with valuable insights and updates on industry trends.
